City Airport Expansion

LET’S STOP CITY AIRPORT EXPANSION TOGETHER!

Dear Neighbours,

City airport has submitted plans to handle a 50 !! per cent increase in the number of flight movements, as it expects to handle 3.9 million passengers by 2010.
The planning application is for an increase in flight movements to 120,000 from the current level of 80,000 by 2010.
We have contacted the Planning Department and they advised us that they are in the process of validating the application.

THIS IS OUR TIME TO OBJECT TO THIS PLAN AND STOP IT WHILE WE STILL CAN !!

The impact on our quality of life with constant movements of planes above our heads will be significant.

Pollution and noise levels will be difficult to live with. We will not be able to sit outside or open a window.

The value of our properties may go down as the airport will be a complete deterrent to potential buyers /tenants.

More flights will cause even more environmental disasters.

We can object by :
1.Writing a letter to the Planning Department can be done by individuals or groups.

2. Please also sign an online petition and we will forward the letter to the Planning Department.

THIS IS ONE FIGHT WE NEED TO WIN! FOR OUR QUALITY OF LIFE AND FUTURE!

I live under the flightpath and agree that this needs to be nipped in the bud now !

I question if we need an airport in Docklands anyway. With greatly improved rail links to Europe and continued expansion at Heathrow together with Crossrail the time has come for a public inquiry to ascertain if the site could be used more efficiently.

We live under the flightpath at Thamesmead. Another summer of not being able to have your windows open for the noise NO thank you.
